4 Techniques For Dealing With Endometriosis

There are millions of women today who experience pain and discomfort in their lives because of endometriosis. Endometriosis is a chronic condition that causes so many problems that can interfere with many aspects of your life. It is therefore important to investigate effective ways of dealing with endometriosis.

Endometriosis is a disease that can affect a woman at anytime during her fertile years, although recently more and more young women are developing the condition.

Endometriosis develops when the endometrial tissues that are normally found lining the uterus grow elsewhere in the body. The abnormal growth can be found in the pelvic area, intestines, ovaries or even the lungs. Depending on the location of the endometrial deposits and the severity of the condition the body experiences pain of differing levels.

Although only formally diagnosed via exploratory surgery, endometriosis has some common symptoms. A woman suffering from this will experience pain in the pelvic area, especially during the menstrual and pre-menstrual cycles. There can also be a constant fatigue that will wear you out, along with lower back pain that can radiate through the buttocks and down the legs. It can also cause pain during sexual intercourse or when having bowel movements.

Considering the pains, discomfort and inconveniences brought on this disease, many women are interested in investigating techniques for dealing with endometriosis.

Coping with Endometriosis:

Alleviating the pain brought on by endometriosis is possible. There are surgical and medical options that can provide relief as well as alternative options that can be adopted individually or together.

1. Changing Your Diet:

One way to deal with endometriosis is to change your diet. Unhealthy and fatty foods can increase imbalance in your system. To avoid this focus on eating high-fiber foods, as they can minimize the level of estrogen in your body.
By limiting estrogen you are taking away the means that promotes the endometrial tissues to swell and shed each month.
It is also good to take in foods that have magnesium and vitamin B. B vitamins help with the processing of estrogen by maintaining a healthy liver and magnesium provides your immune system with a boost. Increasing the effectiveness of your immune system will allow it to tackle the endometrial deposits.

2. Massage Therapy:

Regular massage therapies can also help in easing the pain and discomfort. This is also good in relieving the tensions in your body.
An alternative to the regular massage would be the application of a warm castor oil pack on critical areas like the lower part of the abdomen for 30 – 60 minutes a day.

3. Use Natural Progesterone:

Taking natural progesterone can also serve to reduce endometriosis symptoms as it balances the levels of estrogen in the body. Natural progesterone can come in suppository form, or if you don’t feel comfortable with that method of application you can get a cream version that you massage onto your skin.

4. Alternative Medicine Options:

The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) method of acupuncture is also a technique used by many women in successfully alleviating endometriosis pain and discomfort. Acupuncture helps by improving the balance in your body and can increase blood flow to the abdomen, which promotes healing. It can also be used in conjunction with taking in healthy herbs.
