8 Tips To Prevent And Get Rid Of Cellulite

By: Claire Quaty

Some people who have cellulite go to drastic measure like having plastic surgery to get rid of it. There are other, less invasive ways of ridding your body of cellulite. These same tips can also be used to prevent cellulite from forming.

A detoxification diet is the single most important way to reduce or prevent cellulite. What you ingest always shows up on your body, and by putting only good food into your body, only good will show. Fresh fruits and vegetables are important foods to eat, while black tea, iced tea, coffee and alcohol are things to avoid at all cost.

Canned or processed foods are something else to avoid. Water retention greatly influences the formation of cellulite, and canned foods have too much sodium salt with aids in retention. Lactose, the sugar found in milk and other dairy products, can give you the same effect. It must be eaten in moderation. Instead, eat yogurt and cheese made with reduced lactose, and drink soy milk, which contains no lactose.

Another factor related to cellulite formation is fat. Fat in foods contributes to the increase of cells that produces adipose tissue, which leads to weight gain. Regular exercise can combat these things.

Food high in vitamins, fiber and minerals help regulate energy production in your body and absorb fatty foods. They help keep your shkin healthy and young.

Water consumption is another very important item in your fight against cellulite. It is recommended that youdrink at least two litres (8 cups) or water a day. This helps eliminate toxins from your body through the kidneys. It also helps your skin to be hydrated, and your stomach to feel full.

When you do eat, try to eat 5 small meals instead of three large ones. This allows your digestive tract to work more efficiently. It also keeps your from eating and eating, when in reality, you were full before.

Here are some extra tips on reducing and preventing cellulite.

•Lean protein foods are better than fatty ones. Eat the egg white, but not the yolk. Eat meats such as fish, chicken or filet mignon. Eat food grilled or baked, instead of fried.

•Do not drink soda or alcohol because they are empty calories and have no nutritional value. Instead, drink water or fruit juice.

•Avoid fat-filled foods such as pizza, gravy, fast food, ice cream, etc.

•Do not eat refined sugar. Instead, eat pasta, potatoes or fruit.

•Fiber rich foods are good sources of energy and help diminish absorption of fat. They also help regulate your intestines.

•Exercise! Jogging, riding a bike and swimming help burn fat and calories, and thus reduce the risk of forming cellulite.

•Do not use excessive oil when preparing your food.

•Avoid too much salt.
