A diaper cake is a great idea for any baby shower. There are all kinds of cakes; vanilla, chocolate, carrot or fruit - but not everyone has heard of a baby diaper cake. This type of cake is becoming very popular at baby showers, because it’s a ton a fun to make & it also makes a great gift for the expecting mother.

Diaper Cakes are both easy and fun to make!

If you don’t know where to start, don’t panic. There are numerous books available with step-by-step instructions. There is also lots of resources available in-line. By doing a search for “diaper cake instructions” you’re sure to find many excellent web sites on the subject.

The purpose of a diaper cake is 2 fold. First, it’s an opportunity to make all the other guess laugh at your creativity. Secondly, it’s a practical gift for the mother-to-be. It’s called a diaper cake because it’s mostly made from diapers. The cake is decorated with items that are beneficial to both the baby and mother. They are usually decorated with things like baby shampoo, bottles, rattles and bibs. Many times the diaper cake is used as the centerpiece, where it can be the center of attention & people can talk about it. It can be a great conversation piece after all!
