Asthma - Causes and Home Remedies

By: alien

Asthma

Asthma is a long-term disease that affects the lungs and airways. They react easily to certain things, like viruses, smoke, or pollen. When the inflamed airways react, they get narrow. This makes it hard to breathe.
Asthma cannot be cured, but most people with asthma can control it. You and your doctor can work together to control asthma, reduce the severity and frequency of attacks and help maintain a normal, active life.

Asthma symptoms are often worse in the morning and late at night. In between asthmatic episodes symptoms have been known to disappear or improve but that does not mean the asthma has gone away.

There is already a different type of asthma are present. These are :-

• Allergic asthma
• Exercised-induced asthma
• Cough-variant asthma
• Occupational asthma

Causes of Asthma

The cause of asthma is unknown. Studies suggest a strong link between asthma and atopy. We know that if other people in your family have asthma, you are more likely to develop it. While we cannot control inherent asthma external factors can be modified to reduce the risk or severity of asthma in both adults and children.

Almost all asthma in young people is allergic asthma. This means that if you have asthma you probably have inherited genes which make it possible for you to get asthma, plus allergy producing things in your environment, such as house dust mites, cats, or dogs. Both of these are causes, because if either of them were not present you would not have asthma.
For some people, strong emotions or stress can also be a chance of an asthma attack. Pay attention to the way these things affect your asthma.
