Choosing the Right Tea for You

By: Dennis Brown

Now that you're ready to try out the terrific world of healthful tea, you should be aware there are three principal types of tea that can be purchased: green, black, and oolong. Today, the three prominent groups of tea are joined by another, which has the potential for a fullness of healthful remedy white tea. The variation between all of the tea varieties is the way that each one is harvested and processed. As a guideline, the younger the leaf, the greater the accumulation of antioxidants (as with white tea).

Black Tea

Accounting for greater than 75% of the tea produced in the whole world, the black type can be referred to as pekoe or orange pekoe. Because the leaves are fermented before drying, black tea contains the weakest accumulation of the antioxidants that can cause an improvement in health. When matched to all the teas, black tea has the largest quantity of theaflavin, which is believed to reduce the danger of cardiovascular disease and cancer. According to a long-term research project conducted by the Netherlands National Institute of Public Health and the Environment, relations were recognized between daily usage of black tea and a lower chance of suffering a stroke. Research in Saudi Arabia also noticed the chances of devoloping coronary heart disease had been lowered by 50%.

Oolong Tea

Because oolong tea sustains a partial fermentation, there is still a fair amount of antioxidants to treat and prevent an assortment of medical concerns. A large level of polyphenol is affiliated to the consumption of oolong tea, which has a connection to the hindrance and handling of heart-related diseases. When consuming a cup of oolong tea every day may arise in a reduced risk of high blood pressure (or hypertension) by almost 50%. This type of tea also helps fight tooth decay and embarassing skin conditions.

Green Tea

Green tea does not begin a process of fermentation, which leads to a larger concentration in healthy properties than the black and oolong type. A large quantity of catechin is contained inside a cup of green tea and it is due to this ingredient that you get the plentitude of anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. Consuming green tea could also help various patients fight rheumatoid arthritis, high cholesterol levels, cardiovascular disease, infection, and a weakened immune system.

White Tea

The youngest buds and leaves are not touched when harvesting the components for white tea. Because of this the largest quantity of antioxidants is present inside a cup of white tea. White tea has the possibility to fight against viruses, bacteria, and fungi. The white type of tea also strengthens the anti-bacterial and anti-viral fighting strength of several of the most popular toothpastes sold today. Scientific work done on the polyphenols in white tea have discovered the potential to eliminate cancer causing cells.

You can find it very arduous to decide the correct tea when they all have so many possible benefits. I would advise that you should regularly consume the tea that you feel tastes the best. Tea is something that must be savored not just treated as a medicine. I would also advise you to pick several days each week to experience a different tea. This way you can get several of the possible advantages of all the teas and you might even find a new preferred tea.
