Constipation Home Remedies - Your Must Try it

By: alien

Constipation

Constipation can also alternate with diarrhea. This type of illness is more commonly considered as part of the irritable bowel syndrome. At the extreme end of the constipation spectrum is fecal impaction, a condition in which stool hardens in the rectum and prevents the passage of any stool.

Many beliefs exist concerning proper bowel habits. One of these is that a bowel movement every day is necessary. Another common fallacy is that wastes stored in the body are absorbed and are dangerous to health or shorten the life span. About 80 percent of people suffer from constipation at some time during their lives.

Causes of Constipation

Food which we eat passes through our digestive system. Our body takes nutrients and water from the food. This process creates a stool, which is moved through your intestines with muscle contractions.

Common causes of constipation are :-

• Due to not enough fiber in the diet
• Due to lack of physical activity
• Medications
• Milk
• Irritable bowel syndrome
• Changes in life or routine such as pregnancy, aging, and travel
• Abuse of laxatives
• Ignoring the urge to have a bowel movement
• Dehydration
• Specific diseases or conditions, such as stroke
• Problems with the colon and rectum
• Problems with intestinal function

Home remedies for Constipation

*Drink a glass of warm milk before going to bed because it helps in easy evacuation in the morning.
*Drink one liter of warm water and walk around for a few minutes immediately after waking up early in the morning.
*Regular exercise helps our digestive system active and healthy. A 20- to 30-minute walk every day may help to release stool in morning.
*Daily eating of guava with empty stomach in the morning is highly beneficial.
*Carrot juice mixed with spinach juice gives immediate relief from constipation.
*Mulberry juice has many health benefits. It is good for digestive tract illnesses. It is useful for older people for reliving constipation.
*Cherries are high in antioxidants, fiber, potassium, and many other minerals, which are effective in neutralizing body acid. Cherries contain vitamins B-1, B-2, folic acid and niacin.
*A good belly laugh can help with constipation in two ways. It has a massaging effect on the intestines, which helps to foster digestion, and it's a great reliever of stress.
*If your baby becomes constipated, you should notify your doctor as there may be a more serious problem. If your older child is in a lot of pain, or if his or her stomach is distended, you should take him or her to a doctor, too. You should also take your child to a doctor if any of the following occur: Blood in your child's stool, your child is refusing to go (for example for emotional reasons during potty training), or if your child has "accidents" - this could be a sign of muscle control problems or psychiatric problems.
