I have read many articles on plus size swimwear recently and I spoke with a lot of full figured woman to be aware of their frustration. Basically what it comes down to is that they feel ignored by clothing manufacturers and department stores. They can't find a diverse assortment of different styles and types of swimwear when they go out shopping. As a group they feel denied.
And I agree.... partly. It is true that we have to look a little harder for good looking and comfortable garments (although availability is getting better). And not always do department stores and boutiques show consideration for curvy women regarding e.g. dressing room space. But there is an alternative, the ideal solution.
For many years I shop online. The convenience of the internet is well known but still a lot of people refuse to use it. I hear different reasons, as not reliable, dangerous, no social interaction etc. I am telling you, from plus size swimwear to furniture to birthday present or my recently bought fresh fruit juicer, I buy it online. And I have never had any problems.
Of course you have to do some research about were to buy what, which retailer offers the best deals, which supplier has the best return policy. Actually the same as in the 'real world'. But the variety of, for example, plus size swimwear is enormous. You can choose between many different online suppliers, who offer all the major brands, all different types of bathing suits in all kinds of styles. And most of the time it is even cheaper when you purchase online as discounts are often given. And everything in one or two clicks.
Important it to check the return policy of the retailer you want to buy from. Also check their customer service, are they easy to contact. Just drop them a question and see how fast the react and what their reaction is concerning content. Do not forget to see if the payment section is a secure system. You don't want to get mixed up in a credit card issue.
If you keep this in mind and you don't have to feel frustrated going to the mall. You've already looked, found and bought everything you need online and just went to the mall to enjoy yourself with your family or friends.
