Fastest Way To Lose Weight - A Roadmap

By: Sandy Oxnard

When a person is looking for the fastest way to lose weight they can do it with their health in mind or they can try yet another fad diet. Hopefully, they are concerned with their health. Fad diets are not the answer. They do more harm than good. Sure, a person may lose a lot of water weight quickly, but as soon as the food intake goes up, so does the weight. Unfortunately, metabolism goes down. So, next time, it will be even harder to get the pounds off.

Yes, it is possible to lose weight fast (and make sure it the right kind of weight to lose). You want to lose fat, not muscle. These guidelines will help you accomplish that goal. Do make sure to get your doctor's approval before you embark on any exercise or diet plan.

1. The key to weight loss is exercise, especially exercising your heart and big muscles. An aerobic workout will use calories the quickest. There is not need to turn aerobics into a miserable experience. Walking is the perfect exercise. It is easy and almost everyone is capable of doing. Target 15,000 footsteps a day, which you can count on a pedometer. People can exercise for one hour if they do not want to purchase a pedometer.

3. The best foods to lose weight fast are bulky, yet have a relatively low calorie count. Vegetables, with the exception of corn and potatoes, can be eaten in large amounts. Fruits, soy, nonfat dairy products, such as yogurt and egg whites are all foods to include in a weight loss program.

4. Write down all of the food eaten in a day. Log how much exercise is done. Keep this journal handy so as not forget to mark down your food and exercise. Be sure not to eat after 6 o'clock in the evening; however, it is fine to drink water after this time.

2. Divide meals into about 6 smaller meals instead of eating 3 large meals. It is extremely important not to skip meals. You do not want your body thinking it is starving. Reduce your meal size one-third. Smaller portions means a smaller waist for you.

5. People who have a social network that gives them support lose weight faster than people who try to go it alone. If your family or friends are not the people you want to ask for help, there are a lot of weight loss groups online. A search at Yahoo Groups will help you find them. You will find very supportive people who are going through exactly what you are going through.

6. Patience, persistence and determination to eat healthy and exercise are the fastest way to lose weight and keep it off. In just a few months you will see the fruits of your hard work. It will definitely be worth it!
