Have You Been Diagnosed With Leaky Gut Syndrome?

By: Tanisha Pettiway

Leaky gut syndrome is an odd disease. Many normal people have an idea of what it is, just from the name, but many medical professionals don't think its real. There is only one cause of this disease, and conventional medicine doesn't cure it. However, you can get rid of it with a holistic approach. Once you are cured, there are ways to prevent it from happening again.

Understanding a bit about your anatomy is the key to be able to understand the cause of leaky gut syndrome. Now, do you know how your digestive system works? Food intake through the mouth, and leaves your body through your anus, that for example. It's like a long tube that the food has to go through before it can actually leave your body. And each of the body parts namely mouth, teeth, throat, esophagus, small intestines and colon have something to do to be able to make the digestion possible.

Now, in choosing a colon cleansing product, it's important to assure that it doesn't contain any harsh chemical. Being patient is important as well, because it might take several cleansing to totally remove the coating on the walls of your colon. However, it is not advised to cleanse your body frequently, even when using herbal products. Colon cleansing once a month or every other month is ideal.

So what is affected if you have been diagnosed with leaky gut syndrome? The answer is, your colon. A coat on the walls of your colon, called mucoid plaque, builds up and start to develop small leaks in its membrane. This coating is made of undigested food that has failed to leave your body.

As of this date, no known is proven and tested to cure leaky gut syndrome. But since the disease is caused by a build up of undigested food left coating the walls of your colon, a colon cleanse might be a solution. It does make sense, because cleansing your colon will help the build up to break down. Others think that laxatives may work, but it won't. Because laxatives can only force today's digested food to come out your body.

In terms of preventing leaky gut syndrome, colon cleansing is not the solution. The only way to prevent the disease from ever happening again is by totally changing your lifestyle. Start eating healthy food. Raw vegetables and fruits preferably. And of course, drink a lot of water. This will help you have a bowel movement regularly, making the build up less likely to occur.

Exercise is another way to prevent leaky gut syndrome. Daily movement is helpful to keeping your colon healthy and free form any disease.

Leaky Gut Syndrome is an odd condition of the human body. Today, a majority of adult Americans have been diagnosed with the disease. To maintain a healthy colon, know how to prevent Leaky Gut Syndrome. Straight and simple.
