Cholesterol is a waxy, fatlike substance that your body needs to purpose normally. Cholesterol is of course present in cell walls or membranes all over the place in the body, counting the brain, nerves, muscles, skin, liver, intestines, and heart.

Your body uses cholesterol to create many hormones, vitamin D, and the bile acids that help to digest fat. It takes only a small amount of cholesterol in the blood to meet these needs.

High Cholesterol: Cholesterol is a fatty substance produced by the liver to help meet the body’s need for hormones and bile acids.

It also enters the body when high-fat foods are consumed and when the body’s cholesterol level is higher than necessary for normal cell functioning.
The resultant high blood cholesterol is a circumstance that greatly increases your chances of upward coronary heart disease.

Causes of High Cholesterol

1. Weight
2. Physical activity/exercise
3. Age and sex
4. Alcohol use
5. Mental stress

Symptoms of High Cholesterol

High blood cholesterol comes with no warning signs.

Though it poses a major risk thing for cardiovascular disease which could lead to a heart attack or a stroke, people diagnose with this medical situation often feel fine, and do not take the illness dangerously.

Unhealthy levels of cholesterol are almost always linked to a poor diet, physical inactivity, obesity/being overweight, drinking alcohol excessively, smoking, stress, age, heredity and other causes

Treatment of High Cholesterol

High cholesterol treatment is treatment that is taken in order to try and lower a cholesterol level that is too high, so that it reaches a level as close to possible as normal.

Its aim is to decrease the risk of grave health problems that may occur since of high cholesterol. Treatment for high cholesterol can comprise drug therapy (such as medication) and way of life changes.

In many cases, both forms of treatment will be used in combination with each other.

1. Take low fatty diet
2. Do regular exercise in morning and evening both
3. Avoid meat products
4. Do not smoke and drink alcohol

Home Remedies for High Cholesterol

1.Add one teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of emerald juice in one cup of hot water. Take it daily in morning for natural lowering cholesterol

2. Take lecithin rich diet similar to egg yolk, vegetable oils, wholegrain cereals, soyabeans, and unpasturised milk. With proper intake of lecithin, cholesterol cannot build up against the walls of the arteries and veins. It is one of the most effective cholesterol lowering diets.

3. Take foods rich in Vitamin E like sunflower seeds, safflower, soyabean oils, butter, and sprouted seed and grains

4. Take Vitamins B6, choline and inositol rich diet such as wheat germ, yeast or vitamin B extracted from bran

5. Boil two tablespoons of dry seeds of coriander in a glass of water and strain the decoction after cooling. Take this decoction twice a day for lowering cholesterol
6. Take onion juice to reduce cholesterol, clean the blood, and regulate the heart

7. Add a teaspoon of methi powder in a glass of water. Take it empty stomach for one month

8. Take fenugreek seeds to be in charge of high serum cholesterol
