Home Remedies for Diabetes and Effective Tips

Diabetes mellitus is a common disease in the United States. It is estimated that over 16 million Indian are already caught with diabetes, and 5.4 million Diabetes are not aware of the existing disease. Diabetes prevalence has increased steadily in the last half of this century and will continue rising among Indian population. It is supposed to be one of the major criterions for deaths in United States, every year. Types of Diabetes

Type 1 or insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) occurs when the pancreas becomes unsuccessful to make sufficient insulin. It usually occurs in childhood or teenage years but can expand at any age. These patients need insulin each day

Type 2 or non-insulin dependant diabetes mellitus occurs when body cells develop into resistant to insulin. This is more general among adults, predominantly those who are overweight and over age 40. These citizens are able to handle their blood sugar levels through weight control, regular exercise and a well-balanced diet. Some nation need oral medication or insulin vaccination to lower blood sugar.

Causes of Diabetes

• Hereditary or Inherited Traits : It is strongly believed that due to some genes which passes from one generation to another, a person can inherit diabetes. It depends upon closeness of blood relationship as mother is diabetic, the risk is 2 to 3%, father is diabetic, the risk is more than the previous case and if both the parents are diabetic, the child has much greater risk for diabetes.
• Age: Increased age is a factor which gives more possibility than in younger age. This disease may occur at any age, but 80% of cases occur after 50 year, incidences increase with the age factor.
• Poor Diet (starvation Related Diabetes) : Improper nourishment, low protein and fiber intake, high intake of sophisticated products are the expected reasons for developing diabetes.
• Obesity and Fat Distribution: Being overweight means increased insulin resistance, that is if body fat is more than 30%, BMI 25+, waist grith 35 inches in women or 40 inches in males.
• In Corticosteroid or ACTH therapy may lead to clinical signs of the disease.

Tips of Diabetes
o Avoid eating starchy foodstuffs as they are not easily digestible.

o Take less amount of oil in your food.

o Avoid coffee, sugar, refined flour and alcohol.

o Do not take heavy meals. Eat minute meals as the foods are effortlessly digestible and are good for the health of Diabetes.

o Take low fat diet and eat vegetables like spinach, cucumber.

o Eat fruits and milk products like cheese.

o Onion, sprouts, beans, garlic and tomatoes lower the sugar level in the blood.

o Live a stress free life. Stress will worsen the conditions.

Home Remedies for Diabetes

1. Eat green vegetables, coriander, cucumber, cabbage, coconut, chenopodium album (bathu), creeper of pumpkin, cucumber, cabbage, bitter guard, carrot, tomato, lemon, radish, onion & ginger.

2. Eat fibre rich food like apple, figs, guava, lemon and orange. Grains rich in fibres are barley, oatmeal, maize, wheat flour, jowar, bajra, whole wheat, rice flakes, sophisticated wheat flour (without husk) and puffed rice. Other sources of fibre are coriander seeds, cumin seeds, dry pepper and turmeric.

3. Soak 90-100 seeds in 250 Gms of water in the twilight. Mash them in morning, sieve in a cloth and drink combination regularly. Take daily for two months to cure diabetes.

4. Take juice of bilva and parijataka leaves in equal parts for normal remedy of diabetes. Take two teaspoons of it twice a day.

5. Eat grapefruits regularly for diabetes natural remedy.

6. Boil 3-4 fresh leaves of mango tree in the morning and drink. It is also very implementation in curing diabetes.

7. Take soyabean in your diet. It does not enclose sugar and is a good foundation of energy for diabetes.
