Home Remedies for Psoriasis and Psoriasis Treatment

Psoriasis is a noncontiguous common skin condition that causes rapid skin cell reproduction resulting in red, dry patches of thickened skin.
The dry flakes and skin scales are consideration to result from the rapid increase of skin cells. Psoriasis commonly affects the skin of the elbows, knees, and scalp.

Some populace have such mild psoriasis (small, faint dry skin patches) that they may not even think that they have a medical skin condition.
Others have very severe psoriasis where nearly their entire dead body is fully enclosed with thick, red, scaly skin.

Psoriasis is measured a non-curable, long-term (chronic) skin situation. It has a variable course, periodically improving and worsening.

Sometimes psoriasis may clear for years and stay in reduction. Some people have deterioration of their symptoms in the colder winter months. Many people report development in warmer months, climates, or with augmented sunlight exposure.

Causes of Psoriasis

• Psoriasis occurs when the immune system overreacts, causing inflammation and flaking of skin.
• Abnormality in the instrument in which the skin grows and replace itself causes psoriasis.
• Psoriasis develop when the immune system tells the body to over-react and go faster the growth of skin cells.
• Heredity also plays a role in the development of psoriasis
• Environmental factors such as trauma, sunlight, infection, emotional stress, climatic changes etc also causes.

Symptoms of Psoriasis

• Thick patches of red, scaly skin, especially on the knees and elbows.
• Small red acne on the skin.
• White blisters surrounded by red skin.
• Large areas of ruddiness on the skin.
• Affected area are often itchy and sore.

Treatment of Psoriasis

While each of these therapies is effective, there are also drawbacks.Some topicals are messy and may stain clothing and skin.
Phototherapy can require 2 to 5 weekly visits to a dermatologist’s office or psoriasis clinic for several weeks. Many of the universal medications have grave side effects and must be shared or rotated with other therapy to maximize efficacy and minimize side property.
Research is being conduct to find therapies that offer safe, effective, easy-to-use treatment options that give long-term relief.
Home Remedies for Psoriasis
• Take small amount of almond powder and boil it thoroughly in water. This is used for external application on the affected part. Keep it overnight and wash it next day with water.
• Add one teaspoonful of sandalwood concentrate in three cups of water. Boil it till it is condensed to one-third the quantity. Add some rose water and sugar to it. Take this thrice a day. It is very effectual home remedy for psoriasis.
• Cabbage is very ordinary home remedy for the treatment of psoriasis. Take the outermost layer of a cabbage, clean it by means of warm water. Rinse all the extra water by pressing between a towel. Once the leaf is dried, extend it on the slab, and flatten it by pressing with hand. Warm the leaf and gently cover it over the infected area. Cover it with a clean cloth. This process should be recurring for 3-4 times a day for the stage when the contaminated area is not fully improved.
• Boil some soap nut (shikakai) in water and be valid on the pretentious parts. This will also gives relief from psoriasis.
• Cover a fresh thin banana leaf on the affected part. This is very successful in curing psoriasis.
• Make a dilute solution of lime juice with water. Apply this outwardly on the psoriatic patches.
• Cabbage soup is also an effective home remedy for psoriasis. Drink one bowl of it everyday.
• Prepare a clean glass of buttermilk from curd and drink 2-3 times a day. This is a healthy drink for psoriasis enduring and helps in absorption and cleans the toxic matter within the stomach.
