How to Build Muscle and Gain Weight

By: Huey Davis

If you want a muscular bulked up bod, you need information on how to build muscle and how to gain weight the right way.

In order to build up those muscles and gain the right kind of weight, you need to consume protein. Steroids are not necessary to achieve your goals, and they are dangerous. If you've got a skinner hardgainer body, don't give up hope.

You want to lose body fat and build muscle mass. That sounds simple, but for some people with certain genetic traits it is not simple at all. Some folks can't seem to gain weight or build muscle no matter what they do.

Muscle building workouts combined with nutrition and hydration are what you need to build the body you want. The majority of people think how to build muscle is by using all those fancy machines at the gym. Free weights used in compound exercises will do the same thing

Compound exercises incorporate groups of muscles into a single exercise. A good example of a compound exercise is benchpressing weights, which works your chest muscles and your shoulders and triceps.

In order to successfully bulk up your muscle groups, you have to work one group of muscles on a given day, and then allow those muscles to rest. Your next workout targets a different group of muscles. The resting in between is required in order to accomplish the desired growth.

You can choose to target one or two groups of muscles during a single workout, skip a day, and then target another group or groups during your next scheduled workout. After that, you can take a few days off, then start back to the first targeted group, skip a day, work the next group or groups, skip several days, and so forth.

You have to have a workout plan that builds your muscles first, and then you work to keep them in shape. There is no magic pill or drink you can take that will do this for you automatically.

Your best source of body building protein is food, but it can get expensive and it is easy to get tired of eating the large amounts of protein required. Protein supplements combined with high protein food is your best plan, but be selective when making your supplement choices.

Protein supplement shakes are convenient and come in a variety of flavors. They are high in protein, fiber, carbohydrates and calcium, and can be mixed with water or milk.

If you want to know how to gain weight and how to build muscle, your workout plan should include a muscle-building plan along with protein obtained from diet and shake supplements.
