Is my Child Autistic?

The symptoms of Autism are numerous, and they change in each child. Just because you see certain symptoms of Autism in your child does not mean they are Autistic. There are other medical conditions that possess the matching symptoms. A few children are delayed on their developmental milestones. Every child develops at their particular time. Just because your child is not verbal by the time they are one does not imply for sure they have Autism.

If you have concerns about your child's development speak to their healthcare provider. They can tell you if more testing ought to be considered. 6. Have a hard time with program changes.
7. Do not respond to you when you are speaking to them. This can be with looks or words.
8. Does things repetitively.
9. Loses skills they knew.
10. Develops an attachment to a certain food, or smell. These are sensory issues.

If you see these signs in your child talk to the doctor about them. Getting a diagnosis and treatment plan are very important. At the same time do not worry over every little thing. Some children just take a little longer to reach their milestones.


One of the signs that your child should be evaluated from the items above is lack of Communication. By learning how to communicate with your child, there will be a reduced amount of tantrums, decreased frustration, and a greater parent - child bond.
