Looking after your skin with the perfect skincare regime

By: James Gribbon

As people get older they begin to worry about wrinkles and age spots. There is certainly no overnight miracles to completely prevent the aging process Although, some absolutely fantastic news is that it is possible to keep your skin looking young and beautiful by using some affordable products and an easy to follow skin care system. With the help of some of these products and a combination of the regular skin care regime, it is completely possible for you to slow down the aging process astronomically.

Below you will find some simple tips that will help you keep your skin firm, youthful and glowing:

The sun is extremely bad for your skin, by using sun block everyday you are able to block out the harmful UV rays that damage your skin. I recommend a factor of 15 or more. When choosing a sun block always make sure you look for a product that is known as "broad spectrum" as this will protect you again UVA and UVB rays. Using sun block everyday is probably the easiest way to reduce damage to you skin and therefore reducing the aging signs. When applying the sun block make sure to not to be stingy and use it all over your face and other sensitive areas that may become damaged by the sun. You must remember however to reapply the sun block on a regular basis as it will become less effective as time goes on.

Make sure you select the products that you are going to use on your skin very carefully. Make an informed decision about what your skin type is and choice a product based on that decision. If your skin is particularly oily it is necessary that you use lighter facial cleansers, toners and moisturizers. However if your skin is particularly dry you will need a product that is rich in emollient. You must try not to wash your more than twice a day as this process strips the natural oils from your skin and can irritate the skin and make it worse. Some of the leading Dermatologists actively recommend only washing your face twice a day; once in the morning and once in the evening. On an important note you must use products that will not damage your skin or irritate it.

When looking for products to integrate into your skin care regime make sure you include Eye Creams and Anti-Aging Products. The best addition out of these is eye cream which is a great way of beating the aging process these creams are able to reduce the fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes as well as reduce the puffiness from late nights. This can help make your eyes look brighter, less tired and remove dark circles. This is because the creams have some great ingredients that fight wrinkles and lighten the eye area. The best time to apply these creams and serums is at night due to the skin absorbing them better during this time.

You only get one skin so treat it well! Aggressively rubbing your skin with exfoliates can promote wrinkles and sagging. When applying skin products do it softly on the skin and tap them gently so they are absorbed better by the skin. It has been proven that when applying these creams and serums they are better applied while the skin is warm as it can increase absorption.

Exfoliation, regenerate your skin. When exfoliating make sure you only do it once or twice a week. Exfoliating too much can make your skin dry and leave it prone to acne. Make sure you choose an exfoliator which is suitable for your skin. Use a lighter one for sensitive skin and other skin types will be able to use a rougher exfoliator.

Eat healthily, your skin will thank you. By eating fruits and vegetables in your diet your skin will reflect it. Fruit and vegetables have a huge amount of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals which will help promote youthful looking skin. By drinking a lot of water you can keep your skin hydrated. This will help you to remove toxins from your skin and prevent imperfections or blemishes.

Smoking and alcohol will damage your skin. By consuming alcohol and cigarettes this will cause the skin to become dry and dehydrated which will lead to blemishes and imperfections in your skin. You only get one skin, to maintain youthful skin you must stop smoking and limit alcohol.
