Oh Yes…Exercise Can Be Fun

By: tim logan

Think of the fun you can have with exercise and then you will start to enjoy it far more than you have done before.
Enjoy yourself as you walk round the Malls. You enjoy your retail therapy so why not enjoy your exercise at the same time. Walking is one of the best forms of exercise and if you are doing another activity you love then you will see the truth that exercise is fun.
Did you used to enjoy dancing when you were younger? Yes, start again dance as if nobody is watching you. Have you thought that young people need no persuasion to dance they love it, they have fun on the dance floor, when did you lose your sense of adventure and fun?
Or you could go and HAVE A DIG! No be good I don't mean have a go at somebody but get out and do some gardening. Hours of weeding, mowing and raking will help burn off the calories - more so than an hour of aerobics. Plus the bonus you will be able to grow you own LOW-FAT fruit and vegetables.
How many calories will you burn in an hour?
Sweeping up 180
Weeding 210
Mowing (sorry a sit on one doesn't count) 450
Digging 480

If you get bored and not having enough garden (sorry YARD) then offer to do a neighbours they will love you for it.
A yard here is something of a paved area not very pretty to look at. Our lawns, flowerbeds etc is called a garden.
So fill a bottle of water and go and work in the garden. But the most important thing is to have fun. Decide that no longer is exercise a chore but it will be fun because you make the choice for it to be fun
