Phentermine – An Easy Weight Loss Aid for Obesity

By: Stuart William

Overweight or putting on excess body weight is the result an unhealthy eating habit, zero exercise schedules and a sedentary lifestyle which has severe life-long effects on our health. One such common health condition is obesity. Obesity is a chronic disease that affects many people and often requires medical treatment to promote and sustain weight loss. A doctor might prescribe diet pill supplements only to a clinically obese person in conjunction to diet plans and exercise routine.

Diet pills assist the body in the process leading to weight loss by blocking carbohydrates, increasing your metabolism, removing excess water and most importantly by suppressing your appetite. There are several diet pills in the market today. But the most popular and cost effective amongst them is Phentermine which was first approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1959. Phentermine is a prescription based diet pill that works as an appetite suppressant and a central nervous system stimulant. The active ingredient in Phentermine diet pill is Phentermine Hydrochloride, a sympathomimetic amine which works by stimulating the hypothalamus gland and affecting certain neurotransmitters to decrease appetite and may also speed up the time it takes for your body to burn calories.

Phentermine is used as a short-term supplement to diet and exercise in the treatment of obesity. It is recommended for use only by patients with a Body Mass Index of 30 or more, or those with a BMI count of 27 or more if they have other risk factors such as hypertension or high blood cholesterol levels. But it is strictly advisable to use Phentermine only under a doctor's supervision to prevent drug interactions and possible side effects. Before taking Phentermine you must inform your doctor about all medications you take, especially if you take high-blood-pressure medicine or MAO inhibitors. During the treatment avoid stimulants that may increase your heart rate. You can buy Phentermine from over-the-counter pharmacy or online pharmacy. Research claims that common drug stores and mainly online pharmacies also sell cheap Phentermine which are the said drugs in their generic form. Cheap Phentermine have the same potency, are available in the same dosage forms, considered safe and effective; and are also FDA-approved.

Phentermine is an effective form of therapy for obese patients who need to lose weight easily to decrease diseases associated with obesity. The body starts to build up a resistance to the effects of Phentermine after a few weeks of treatment, by which time the patient should be well on their way to a healthy lifestyle and stop taking Phentermine while continuing to maintain a balanced weight on their own. The magnitude of the weight loss through using Phentermine will depend on the degree of caloric restriction and the use of a graded exercise program. Phentermine should not be used for ‘cosmetic’ weight loss but only by patients who are at increased medical risk because of obesity and related diseases.
