Psoriasis Treatment - Herbal remedies for Psoriasis

By: alien

Psoriasis (say "sor-eye-ah-sus") is a condition that affects your skin and causes thick red marks that look like scales to form. The thick scaling is due to an increase in the number of skin cells. Sometimes pus-filled blisters form. Most of the time, the skin on the elbows and knees is affected, but psoriasis can occur anywhere on the body, including the scalp, fingernails and mouth,

Psoriasis is a persistent, long-lasting (chronic) disease. You may have periods when your psoriasis symptoms improve or go into remission alternating with times your psoriasis becomes worse.

What are the symptoms of psoriasis vulgaris?

Psoriasis vulgaris is the most common form. The first signs of an outbreak are:

* red spots or patches.
* the patches grow bigger and become scaly.
* the upper scales fall off in large quantities, while the lower layers of scales are firmly fixed.
* when the scales are scraped off, a number of small, bleeding points can be seen underneath.

Psoriasis Treatment

The first and most important step in psoriasis treatment is a cleansing of the whole digestive system and liver of waste and toxins. Cleansed body will be able to collect its inner strength to fight the diseases. It won’t happen in a day or two, you need to be patient. Psoriasis is considered to be incurable skin disorder; however there are some cases of complete cure of this condition using unconventional methods of treatment. It might not be your case, but the remedies below can still help in easing the symptoms of the disease and clearing of skin.

2 fresh chicken eggs combine with 1 tbsp of vegetable oil and whip well. Add 40 g of acetic acid (vinegar) and mix to get the mixture of butter thickness. Keep in glass container under tight lid. Use once a day, preferably at night, smearing over affected areas.

Piece of chagathe size of walnut boil in 250-300 g of water for 15 min, steep 30-40 min in warm place. Drink at least 1 cup a day for 4 months. Every day prepare fresh remedy.

Cover psoriasis spots with whipped egg white.

Young green cones of pine, spruce or cedar, collected in spring, cut in half and place in vodka. Let stand for 3 weeks in dark place. Smear over affected skin. Use for at least 2 weeks.

Combine: marigold, St. John’s wort and sweet flag root (15 g each), cowberry leaves, horsetail, elecampane and elder flowers (10 g each), and 5 g of celandine. 1 tbsp of the mix add to 1 cup of boiling water and steep in thermos for 1 hour. Drink 1/2 cup in the morning and evening after meal.

Baths:

100 g of sage grass put in 2 L of boiling water and boil for 15 min then steep for 2 hours. Add to a bath water. Also drink this infusion 1 tbsp 3 times a day. Continue for 6 months.

400 g of walnut leaves place in 10-12 L of boiling water and boil for 10 min at low heat then steep for 15 min. Filter and add to a bath water. Enjoy your bath for 15-20 min every other day. Walnut leaves can be substituted for walnut shells. In that case 400 g of shells boil in 10-12 L for 30-40 min.

100 g of pine or spruce needles cut in pieces, put in 1 L of boiling water and boil for 10 min at low heat. Steep for 30 min and add to a bath water. Take a bath every day for 20 min. Continue for 2 months.
