Six Teeth Whiteners that will Give You the Smile You've Always Wanted

By: Robert Foster

There are a number of items that will do a great job of giving you dirty teeth, among them being coffee, tea, and cigarettes. If you do not have white teeth, you will be left with a feeling of inferiority, and you will not feel quite a good about yourself. Alas though, you do not need to live with those yellow teeth for the rest of your life. There is a way to get rid of them, and a way to do it quickly.

Teeth whiteners are nothing new, and they have in fact been around for hundreds of years. Dentists have always had ways of performing teeth whitening, but some of their methods were questionable. Plus, they were prohibitively expensive back the. Of course there was also a time when the barber was the teeth whitener, but his methods made most people cringe. Luckily there are some homeopathic remedies out there that have survived since the dark ages of dentistry.

Raw Vegetables. One of the earliest and best teeth whitener methods was simply eating your way to cleaner whiter teeth. For people whose teeth need just a little bit of brightening eating raw vegetables can actually clean and remove plaque from your teeth and leave them whiter. While this method will not work for seriously yellow teeth, it will brighten the smiles of those who need just a light cleaning and polishing.

Strawberries and baking soda. While this combination would not make a good desert it works wonders for whitening teeth. Simply take one strawberry crush it to a pulp, mix it with baking soda and use a soft tooth brush to spread it on your teeth. Wait 5 minutes and then rinse it off and brush your teeth with regular toothpaste.

Lemon Leads the Way. Throughout history, people have used lemon juice for many different things. Now it is used for whitening teeth. Just rub some of the lemon on your teeth one to two times per day. Your mouth will begin to clear up, as will your smile.

Baking Soda and Hydrogen Peroxide. You can use baking soda and hydrogen peroxide if you so desire. Just mix the hydrogen peroxide with baking soda to create a nice paste, and brush your teeth with it. This will help contribute to your white smile, and bringing it back.

Over the Counter Teeth Whiteners. While not all over the counter teeth whiteners are considered equal most will at least whiten your teeth a certain amount. The best over the counter gels and strips will be those containing a large percentage of peroxide, as that is the main ingredient in most teeth whiteners.

The Dental Resort. There are quite a few ways to get rid of those yellow teeth, but if you want it done fast and efficiently the first time, the dentist is your best bet. Don't think that professional bleaching will stick around on it's own though. If you want to keep that whiteness though, you will have to follow up and use some of the homeopathic treatments that we mentioned above.
