The Most Important Herpes Symptom.

By: John K

Herpes - The Most Significant Symptom.

There are varying strains of herpes and they all cause some type of eruption or herpes outbreak of sores or lesions.

There are 2 main types that are the most frequently experienced. The first strain of herpes is HSV 1 which will affect parts of the body above the waist. The outbreaks mainly occur on the inside and outside of the mouth.

Herpes Transmission

The second strain of herpes is HSV-2. This strain affects the parts of the body that are below the waist. This strain is typically spread through intercourse and causes blisters on the genitalia or the surrounding pubic area. In this paper we will more specifically get into the types of lesions caused by this virus as well as the location of these sores.

The mildest member of the herpes family is HSV -1. Despite the fact that it is a gentler virus, the cold sores it causes are highly contagious. There is no cure for HSV 1. Although this herpes is predominantly found around the mouth in the form of cold sores, it can cause herpes on the genitals.

The fever blisters that sometimes appear in and around the mouth when one is getting a cold or flu are typical of HSV 1. This is referred to as oral herpes.

Herpes simplex 2 is the most commonly talked about form of herpes. This strain is passed through some form of sexual intercourse. The blisters that occur from this strain are similar to cold sores; except only the genitals are affected

Genital herpes (the blisters) in males will make their appearance on the shaft of the penis, the anus, the buttocks and even on the inner thighs and lower back. Females will see the eruptions appearing over the whole of the pubic area, including the anus and buttocks. Sometimes the eruption is that mild that a torch or flashlight is used during the examination.

The eruptions that appear when you have an outbreak of herpes simplex 2 can resemble a paper cut, simply look chafed or appear only slightly more red than usual. Experiencing aches and pains in the affected area could occur as well as a secretiondischarge from the penis or vagina.

Those first outbreaks of herpes are usually more severe, and generally involve flu-like symptoms and swollen glands for a week or so. Subsequent outbreaks tend to be periodic and only occur about five times a year. These herpes outbreaks can also be triggered by the stress level of the infected person. The outbreak may also last much longer due to depression.
