The Prelaunch of Zrii

By: Larry Christopher

There is a new player in the competitive health and wellness arm of the network marketing industry --Zrii. This company has created a nutritional product made from Amalaki, used traditionally in Ayurvedic medicine. Zrii has the endorsement of the famous author and lecturer Deepak Chopra.

Zrii was started by Bill Farley, a long-time entrepreneur and friend of Chopra's. Farley has been the owner of many successful companies, including Fruit of the Loom and Anaheim Citrus Products. He is also a partner in the Chicago White Sox baseball team.

Ayurvedic medicine is an intricate system of healing. Although its principles date back to antiquity in India, it has become a popular modern modality thanks in large measure to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Today, the best known exponent of Ayurveda is probably Deepak Chopra.

In Ayurvedic medicine, people are divided into three doshas or body types. Each dosha has certain dietary requirements, beneficial herbs and exercise and lifestyle prescriptions. The three doshas are called Vata, Pitta and Kapha. It has been pointed out that these roughly approximate the Western body types ectomorph, mesomorph and endomorph.

Disease is the result of an imbalance of doshas according to Ayurvedic principles. In addition to a primary dosha, people have elements of each dosha within them. If there is an excess or deficiency, herbs or certain foods are prescribed. The three doshas also react in their own way to changes in temperature and seasons, as well as times of day.

The fruit of Emblica Officinalis, or the Amalaki tree is prized in Ayurveda for its role as a metabolic enhancer, anti-inflammatory and digestive aid. It also is a potent source of Vitamin C, anti-oxidants, trace minerals and amino acids.

Zrii, which only went into pre-launch July 16, is already causing a stir. Both the internet marketing and network marketing communities, as well as proponents of natural and alternative healing, are looking forward to its arrival. It is rare that a network marketing company is started by someone with a reputation like Bill Farley and endorsed by anyone as popular as Deepak Chopra. Zrii officially launches in October.
