The Treadmill That Suits Your Lifestyle

By: Ashish Jain

What's the point in having all the luxuries in the world when one is not fit enough to enjoy them. Of what use are all the delicacies, if your stomach can't take them, and what good will a bungalow do when you are never well enough to walk around in it. The bottomline is, to enjoy the riches you need to be fit and if you are fit, the pleasures of walking in the woods are just incomparable. The world seems to have woken up to the reality at last, which explains the mushrooming of gyms all over.

The problem, however, is that not everybody has the time to walk upto the gym and devote an hour or so to exercise alone. People have too much of everything else on their plate to take time off to exercise. At the same time, they do not want to miss on the benefits of an active life. The answer lies in making a small manageable gym at home, and one thing that is indispensable in such a gym is the treadmill. We have known for long that walking and jogging are among the best possible exercises. A treadmill makes one do them in the comfort of one's own home.

Once you have a treadmill, there is little more that a full fledged gym can offer unless you happen to be an Arnie fan and want to look like a real-life Terminator, straight out of the Judgment Day!

Treadmills are easy machines that make you jog at one place without moving. So, while choosing a treadmill that fits your lifestyle there are a few things that you must consider in order to get the best deal without having to compromise on any front.

If you live in a small apartment, a modest, small size equipment would do, for if you go for a bigger one it is surely going to occupy large space and would eventually become an eyesore.

Another thing that you must consider is the use. How much is the machine likely to be used? If it is only you who is going to use it, a normal build machine would do, but if you with your family are in a mood to carry on a full-swing exercise regimen, settle for something sturdier with better cushioning to last longer. The walking track on the machine should be adequate. It is better to have a relatively longer track if you intend to do some fast running on it.

Once you get the right treadmill for yourself, half the battle is won and the rest will be won when regular exercise becomes a habit with you.
