What Causes of Leucoderma? And Treatment

Leuco' means 'white' and 'derma' means 'skin', thus leucoderma means abnormal whiteness of the skin. This disease is typically very difficult to treat.
If the patient and the physician treat this illness for a long occasion with patience, it is possible to cure it. During the action very little blackish spots appear in the white patches.

These spots keep dispersal and the skin slowly becomes normal. The abnormal whiteness disappear. In this way, the sickness is cured. It is not an communicable disease. Only the skin become white.
Leucoderma is not a medical term, although it has come to mean any white/light colored skin patch. Very broadly, white patches can be acquire or may be present at birth.

Again, both acquired and present at birth skin patches can result from hordes of reasons. While present at birth patches are not of much significance - since a majority of them are birthmarks anyway, the sickness wherein acquired patches develop is usually referred to as Leucoderma (or Leucoderma in medical terms).

Other acquired white patches typically follow some previous disorder.

Causes of Leucoderma

Why do white patches appear? So far it has not been likely to find out what causes this problem. However, there are certain things which affect the human body and can cause white patches in the skin, which spread fast.

(1) When the quantity of melanin in the blood is reduced, the skin becomes white,
(2) chronic constipation,
(3) malfunctioning of the liver, jaundice,
(4) ailments of the stomach,
(5) worms,
(6) diseases like typhoid which affect the stomach and intestines,
(7) chronic diarrhoea,
(8) irregular food habits, indigestion,
(9) insufficient sweating,
(10) heredity,

Home Remedies for Leucoderma

• Take about 25 grams of radish seeds and ground them into a powdery substance. Add 2 tsp vinegar and make a well paste. Apply this paste on the pretentious area and wash off when dry.

• In about eight liters of water, soak 500 gm turmeric. Boil the concoction until only a liter of it is left. Strain this liquid and add ˝ liter mustard oil to it. Relate this on the patchy areas two times a day, for at least 2-3 months.

• Soak spiraled seeds in ginger juice for 3 days. Thereafter, dry them and crush to make fine particles. Have 1 gram of this powder, through a glass of milk, for about a month. You can also be relevant this powder on white patches.

• Another method would be to soak psoralea and tamarind seeds in water for 3-4 days. Dry them well and crush to form a paste. Apply this paste on the exaggerated area on a daily basis.

• Goosefoot vegetable is effective in treating leucoderma. Apply the juice of this vegetable on the exaggerated area, once a day. Continue it for 2 months.

• Mix red clay and ginger in equal parts. Apply this on the exaggerated area and wash off when dry.

• Fill a copper vessel with drinking water and leave it overnight. Have this water, on an empty stomach, each morning. This is effective in healing leucoderma.

• Combine 100 gm each of alfalfa and cucumber juice. Consume this mixture two times a day i.e. in the morning and evening. This is a helpful home remedy for treating leucoderma.

• Take a handful of dry pomegranate leaves and grind them into a fine powder. Have about 8 grams of these fine particles each morning and evening, with a glass of water.
