When to start using Creatine (Part 1)

By: Mick Hart

Whether you are either young or a bodybuilding novice, it is crucial that this be read before you reach a decision that can and will alter the rest of your life. So the big question is are you too young? Well in response to numerous e-mails on Cycles from youngsters, I decided to write this article. Here are a few examples of their e-mails.

"Do you consider 16 too young to begin my first AS cycle? A colleague of mine said that I should begin by taking sus, nandrolone and dianabol. Anadrol was also recommended although it is quite expensive. What kind of cycle would you advise and how should it be taken?" "I am keen to start taking steroids. I consider myself to be young at 17 years old, but consider myself to be at my genetic potential. My objective is to increase muscle size and lose some bodyfat but without becoming too massive."

I am hoping to start a cycle using Naposim. What way would you structure it and do you know of anything else I could take with it to help. I am not interested in injectables as they frighten me plus I still live with my parents so it would be kinda difficult for me, so am hoping to do an oral only cycle. Also do you think my friends at school will be able to tell ie. Will I get bad acne and get aggressive?"

These are just a few examples. Sadly the people who wrote these and the like have usually already made their minds up to take steroids. They only ask opinions in hope that someone else will agree to this madness and only listen to other like minded youngsters who agree with them. I have spent hours trying to help these people but more often than not my advice is ignored.

If you are young or even just new to the bodybuilding scene then I urge you to read this before making a decision that can and will change the rest of your life forever. Hopefully if someone out there in this position reads this, then they will at least be able to make a much more informed decision. If so then my job is done.

We all know that most top athletes and body builders use performance enhancing drugs such as steroids, which helps them with their competitive objectives. The effectiveness is dependant on a correct administration otherwise serious side effects will become apparent and especially at a young age. The media at large began to expose this practise in the 80s and now thanks to the internet correct info is now available.

Of course only some of this information is relevant and the rest is misleading. Unfortunately teenagers come across this information and are often too eager to begin achieving their objectives. I have heard of kids as young as 13 taking gear and have seen kids as young as 15 giving out cycle advice on line. When I was 15, the only cycle I was interested in was my BMX.

"As teenagers, boys naturally have high testosterone levels anyway, hence we see growth spurts at that age in males." "Taking exogenous anabolic steroids and other hormones at an early age can play absolute havoc in the body during this crucial time of development." (Dont miss part 2)
