Writing Effective Articles for The Web

By:

Articles are the most important ingredient of a successful website. It's not hard to produce such articles in regular basisWith a little effort you can produce articles after articles to draw traffic to your website or ad copy to sell your products. This little effort utilize a proofed reusable structure to gain the attention of both search engines and visitors.

Basic structure of article writing is no secret at all. We learnt it well in school. Every article should have a beginning or lead, middle or content section, and an ending or conclusion.

If you really need a secret, then here it is. Articles written for a website should have the purpose of driving traffic to it. There is nothing more important than attracting the search engine to get the website indexed and ranked well on search engine result page. Since search engines give results based on keywords, then the main focus for effective article writing is maximizing the use of keywords.

A winning article for website should have targeted keywords in both its title and body text. The simplest structure could be one targeted keyword used in the title, one in the lead, one in each paragraph of the article content and one in the conclusion.

To get the most out of utilizing targeted keyword(s), it is highly recommended to conduct an extensive research on keywords used. A targeted keyword is a word with the most relevance to the topic of the article.

Bear in mind that since articles are the main ingredient of websites, don't research your article in the internet unless you don't care much about duplicated content. Your effort would be worthless if at the end you're only producing articles which having no much difference with the others'.

Instead of utilizing the net, you can use the old fashioned way of research. The libraries. The libraries is your secret to be ahead of the competition since the chance of ending up in the duplicated content is very rare.

Let's say you want to write about sport cars. In the library you can easily find articles on sport cars, the history of sport cars, Sport cars of the century, sport cars maker etc.

With the resources found, you can start to write a 300-500 words of article for your website. With the above example, you can structure your article like this:

Put main keyword at least once in the article title. You might try the title: "Everything you should know about sport cars" or "Sport vehicles And the Future of Automotive Industry". Those title may not the most snappiest, but it does tell someone and the search engines what the article is about while using the keywords "Sport Cars"

Use each of your paragraphs to explain more about history of sport cars, sport cars of the century, sport cars maker etc. If you want to make a long article then each topic may use more than paragraph.

Write the ending paragraph as conclusion by at least once mentioning the keywords "Sport Cars" and list other topic as mentioned above.

Use this simple structure for your writing activities. Even if you don't think of yourself as a writer, you'll be amazed how easily you can build a successful website.
