Yoga Poses for Anywhere and Anytime

Yoga is an art and is one of the most ancient forms that originated in India 5000 years ago. Yoga is all about poses, breathing exercises and meditation. Yoga poses are most efficient in providing benefits such as strengthening the muscles and relaxation to the body.

There are even some simple poses that are designed especially for the people in today’s busy life. You can practice these poses individually at various times during your day in order to release tension and stiffness, increase mobility, and maintain a balanced body

Most of the people say that they are too busy to spend half an hour to an hour in their busy schedule for practicing yoga routine. However, there are simple yet effective Yoga poses that take only a few minutes for you to practice.

Yoga Poses - Mountain Pose

There are many different yoga poses, which you can practice anywhere and at any time of the day to have excellent benefits. The Mountain Pose is one of the simple poses that you can practice without any difficulty and moreover no one will notice. Here are the basics of the Mountain Pose.

For this, stand straight with your weight distributed evenly between both your feet. Let the shoulders hang easily and place your pelvis in a neutral position. Remember to wear flats when you are running errands because it will make easier for you to creep in the Mountain Pose and also, your feet will feel better at the end of the day.

Simple Yoga Stretches For Relaxing Your Body

There are a few simple yoga poses and yoga stretches that you can practice while sitting at your office or desk. When you have the lavishness of a private office, then you can make use of your lunch hour (a part of your lunch break) in practicing a few simple yoga poses.

For this, you don’t need to have a lot of room rather just the size of a mat is enough for practicing. If you have a compartment instead of an office, still there are some poses with stretches to practice, which will loosen you up and make you more relaxed.

A twist is done by crossing one leg over the other and grasping the outer thigh of the top leg with the opposite arm. With your free arm, capture the back of your chair and twist until you feel a comfortable control. It pretends like you are looking at something over your shoulder.

Now turn back, no body will notice and it’s a good practice to perform stretches at your desk, thus it makes you more efficient and also lessens your tension.

There is one more good stretch to liberate tension in your neck is to touch your ear to your shoulder. Slowly move the head up and down, and side-to-side. These are the neck stretches. It resembles like you are nodding your head yes or no to someone. It doesn’t look like you are not doing your job and helps you in providing relaxation to you and also makes you more productive.

If you have a little more freedom, you can try even many more stretches. Here are a couple of yoga stretches that you may try. Put your ankle on top of your opposite knee, drape your body over the triangle your legs are making. Change the legs and do the same thing. This one is great and useful for relaxing the spine after sitting before the desk or computer for a long time.

Stand up pushing your chair back, try bending from the hips and keep your back straight, bend over and put your folded arms on the desk. Now, take a few deep breaths and slowly roll up one vertebra at one time.

Here is the one, especially, that every one like. When you are watching TV and a commercial comes on, take a minute to sit cross-legged on the floor with both hands on your knees. Then slowly turn your body in big circles, first one way and next the other. This provides you more benefits in relaxing your lower back.

Always remember to breathe correctly and is an important one for you when you are practicing even these simple yoga stretches. Start slowly, don’t compel your body, and work up only when you feel comfort in doing the yoga pose. You can be busy and still practice yoga poses. Schedule your every day activities in such a way that also includes yoga routine.
