Your Credit Card's Best Friend - Discount card as a savings

By: Alexander Knyazev

Savings-savvy brush off shoppers may want to music in to a sleeker mode to realize deals on hotels, travel, dining and far cry day-to-day purchases: the brush off card.

The Max Card is a shining example of a discount card that gives members access to worldwide and local savings instantly, without the need for coupons. Members can simply slide the Max Card into their wallet or purse and have it handy for when they shop at one of over 190,000 nationwide participating retailers.

The Max Card's annual membership of $39.95 (regularly $54.95) is easily paid for by itself. Members can use the discount card for everything they need to purchase-even abroad! Over 20,000 companies worldwide offer discount hotel rates through Max Card and the card can even be used for things like car rentals, auto repair and restaurants.

Think of it as an instant rewards program without the points. Instead of cutting coupons or buying from a certain vendor, you'll use the Max Card for all of your transactions for immediate discounts. Whether paying cash, check or credit, all you have to do is display your card at the point-of-sale for exclusive discounts.

This is also what makes the Max Card so attractive to businesses. Cardholders will turn to the Max Card's online directory in order to find out which vendors or retailers to visit in order to get savings and will often come back again and again for the same deals.

The discount card is also a more intuitive mode of discount shopping. Carrying around a wad of clipped coupons or an ungainly coupon book is neither purse-friendly nor earth-friendly. In fact, coupon books contribute to the nearly 100 million trees that are cut down a year to produce junk mail. And after the fact, all those unwanted and unused coupons eventually end up at the bottom of a landfill where paper and cardboard waste adds up to 40% of the space used up.

Making the move from paper to digital coupons is a logical step for any environmentally aware, efficient consumer with a penchant for discount deals. Simply slipping in The Max Card into your wallet next to your credit card and driver's license can add up to thousands or more dollars of savings without all the paper clutter.
